Kevlar fabric is a material that has many applications, ranging from automotive tires and racing yacht sails, to military grade body armor because of its high tensile strength-to-weight ratio. Kevlar cloth is 5 times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis. It is also used to make drum heads and other composite products that will hold up to repetitive high impacts over the course of their lifetime, due to its high abrasion resistance. Carbon Kevlar Fabrics are used in applications where it is necessary to have the strength of Carbon Fiber and the abrasion resistance of Kevlar. These fabrics are available in numerous colors and weaves, and are excellent for use in aesthetic composite reinforcements.
